Israeli Forces Intensify Operations in Jenin Amid Continued Aggression

Jenin: Israeli occupation forces persist in their aggressive actions against Jenin and its camp for the 107th consecutive day, conducting extensive bulldozing and destruction operations aimed at altering the camp’s features and structure while maintaining a blockade.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the occupation forces have expanded their operations to the Ya’bad plain, located to the south between the settlements of Hermesh and Dotan, where bulldozing activities are being carried out. The Jenin Governorate is experiencing nearly daily incursions, with military movements and patrols frequently observed across its villages.

The demolition efforts inside Jenin Camp have resulted in the complete destruction of approximately 600 homes, while others have been partially damaged, rendering them uninhabitable. The Israeli forces continue to use live ammunition extensively within the camp, exacerbating the destruction.

The aggression has inflicted severe damage on facilities, homes, and infrastructure, particularly affecting the eastern and Al-Hadaf neighborhoods. Additional military reinforcements are being sent to the camp and its surroundings, with infantry units deployed regularly across various neighborhoods.

The ongoing conflict has led to the forced displacement of families from Jenin Camp and the broader city area, with the Jenin Municipality reporting over 22,000 displaced individuals. The economic situation in Jenin is deteriorating, with significant commercial losses leading to shop closures and reduced shopping traffic. The destruction of infrastructure has further hampered economic activity, leaving western neighborhoods on the brink of economic collapse.

In recent developments, occupation forces have arrested two young men from the western town of Yamoun and conducted raids in Yamoun, Sila al-Harithiya, and Rummana, intensifying their presence in these areas. Since the assault began on January 21, 40 individuals have been killed, with many others injured or detained.
