Riyadh: Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa met on Tuesday, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, during which both officials discussed the latest political developments and coordination of joint positions. The meeting was attended by Minister of Communications and Digital Economy Abdel Razzaq Natsheh and Palestinian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mazen Ghunaim.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of intensifying international efforts to secure a sustainable ceasefire and prevent a recurrence of the conflict in the Gaza Strip. Discussions also focused on the necessity of allowing humanitarian and relief aid to enter the region to address urgent needs, ultimately aiming for recovery and reconstruction. Mustafa highlighted the goal of ending the Israeli occupation of the Gaza Strip and unifying the institutions of the West Bank and Gaza Strip under a single authority, government, and weapon.
Mustafa expressed his gratitude for Saudi Arabia's unwavering support for the Palestinian people at various levels. Both officials underscored the significance of the Global Alliance's efforts in implementing the two-state solution. The recent high-level meeting in Riyadh was noted as a step towards following up on the practical measures needed to implement the New York Declaration, which seeks to end the occupation, establish a Palestinian state, and enable the Palestinian people to achieve their legitimate rights to freedom and independence.
In response, the Saudi Foreign Minister reaffirmed his country's steadfast and supportive stance on the Palestinian people's right to freedom, the end of the occupation, and the creation of their independent state.
