Turkish Stock Exchange Sees Decline as BIST 100 Drops by 0.71%

Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index concluded Monday at 14,484.91 points, marking a decrease of 0.71% from its previous closing position.

According to Anadolu Agency, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index began the week at 14,462.37 points and experienced a decline of 103.02 points from Friday's close. Throughout the day, the index reached a low of 14,414.81, with its daily high recorded at 14,609.86 points.

The market value of the BIST 100 was approximately 12.51 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $284.9 billion. The trading volume stood at 205.5 billion liras, or $4.58 billion. Among the stocks listed on the index, 25 saw an increase, while 73 witnessed a decline compared to the previous close.

As of 6:30 pm local time (1530GMT), gold was priced at $4,802.10 per ounce, and Brent crude oil futures were trading at $96.60 per barrel. In currency exchange rates, the US dollar was valued at 44.8725 Turkish liras, the euro at 52.9370 liras, and the British pound at 60.7720 liras.
