Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi affirmed the GCC countries' solidarity with the Yemeni people under all circumstances until Yemen restores its security, stability, and embarks on a path of sustainable development, ensuring the Yemeni people live with dignity, peace, and security. During a meeting with Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council of Yemen Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al Alimi, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the GCC Secretary-General reiterated the Council's support for all international and regional initiatives, including those of the United Nations, aimed at reaching a comprehensive political solution to end the Yemeni crisis, in alignment with the three reference points: the Gulf Initiative and its executive mechanism, the outcomes of the Comprehensive National Dialogue, and Security Council Resolution 2216. In turn, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council of Yemen Dr. Rashad Mohamm ed Al Alimi praised the commendable positions and leadership role of the GCC countries, as well as their exceptional efforts to support Yemen in various fields.
