Israeli Incursions and Colonist Attacks Jeopardize Palestinian Education, Ministry Warns

Ramallah: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has raised alarms about the escalating violations by Israeli forces and colonist militias, which threaten the very foundation of the Palestinian education sector. The ministry has highlighted that these actions are putting students' right to a safe and stable educational environment at significant risk.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency, the ministry has voiced concerns over what it describes as a deliberate policy targeting the Palestinian education system. This strategy appears aimed at undermining the educational mission and violating the sanctity of schools and universities. The recent military raid on Silat al-Dhahr Secondary School for Boys is cited as a stark example of the ongoing violations against educational institutions.

The ministry pointed out that this particular school had already been targeted by Israeli colonists just days before. This incident underscores the systematic approach to targeting Palestinian education, affecting students and teaching staff alike. Furthermore, the ministry expressed outrage over the colonists' actions at Qadri Tuqan School, where racist and hostile graffiti was spray-painted on the walls, characterizing it as part of a broader campaign to incite fear and violence.

The ministry is urging international institutions and organizations focused on children's rights and education to intervene urgently. It calls for a firm response to these systematic violations, demanding accountability from Israel and seeking to raise awareness of these issues in diplomatic, political, and media circles.
