Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani delivered a congratulatory telegram to the Spanish Prime Minister on the occasion of his country's victory in the European Football Nations Cup. The Prime Minister's Media Office stated in a statement that Al-Sudani met today with the Spanish Ambassador to Iraq, Pedro Martinez Avial, on the occasion of the end of his duties, where they reviewed bilateral relations, various aspects of their development and ways to develop them for the benefit of the two friendly peoples. Al-Sudani expressed his appreciation for the Ambassador's performance during his representation of his country in Iraq, pointing to the need to proceed with activating the understandings agreed upon between the two countries in various fields, during the visit of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez to Iraq last December, in addition to the importance of holding the joint Iraqi-Spanish committee scheduled for this year. Al-Sudani also stressed the government's welcome to the participation of Spanish co mpanies specialized in infrastructure reconstruction, development plans and service projects being implemented in Iraq, indicating that the government has taken a number of measures to develop the investment environment, attract and encourage international companies, and the Prime Minister delivered a congratulatory telegram to the Spanish Prime Minister on the occasion of his country's national team winning the European Football Championship. For his part, the Spanish Ambassador expressed his country's desire to strengthen fruitful partnerships with the public and private sectors in Iraq, and to contribute effectively to the strategic and investment projects included in Iraq's development and reform plans.
