The Traffic Police, through the Traffic Control Unit in the Capital Municipality, achieved remarkable success in organizing traffic and providing services to citizens during the last month of Jumada al-Awwal. Statistics issued by the Traffic Control Department, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), showed that 999 cars and 408 motorcycles were seized in a campaign to seize cars and motorcycles that were unmarked, unnumbered, and violated traffic etiquette and rules. It stated that 796 violation tickets were registered for cars whose drivers committed violations, which reflects the package of measures that have been taken to ensure compliance with traffic laws. The statistics indicated that traffic control officers intensified their efforts at some intersections and streets, and the total number of movements reached 772. They worked to organize traffic based on the traffic light system, implement stopping before the pedestrian line, improve traffic flow, avoid congestion, and instal l longitudinal parking and oblige drivers to do so in a number of streets which contributed to enhancing traffic safety. She pointed out that the duty of kindness was provided to citizens and road users, as broken down cars were towed and car subscriptions were provided, and the number of operations carried out reached 315 operations.
