The Assistant Undersecretary of Fisheries Ministry for the Investment Sector, Shaif Al-Faqih, discussed with the Director General of the General Federation of Yemeni Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Taha Ahmed Al-Mahbashi, aspects of cooperation in the fields of marketing and promotion of fish investments. The meeting reviewed the investment opportunities and accompanying incentives and facilities granted by the Ministry, which include a number of tax and customs exemptions for investors, financiers and businessmen wishing to invest in the fishing sector. The meeting touched on the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce role in promoting these opportunities among local ,foreign companies , institutions, and encouraging them to invest. A number of specifications, literature, documents and cards related to investment opportunity projects that were required to be prepared and presented by the Ministry were also discussed for the purpose of presenting them at the expanded workshop of the General Unio n, during next January. In the meeting, the Undersecretary Al-Faqih and the Director of the Al-Mahbashi Union stressed the importance of cooperation between the Ministry and the Union in order to attract investors and achieve common goals.
