MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman has denounced the failure of the United Nations Security Council to issue a ceasefire resolution in the Gaza Strip. Foreign Ministry said in a statement :"The Ministry of Foreign expresses the Sultanate of Oman's regret and denunciation of the failure of the United Nations Security Council to issue a ceasefire resolution in the Gaza Strip, as a result of the repeated use of the veto." "The Sultanate of Oman continues to call on the international community and the Security Council to facilitate all initiatives calling for an immediate ceasefire in the region and for the Council not to stand in the way of peace, calling on friendly countries to translate their positions and statements calling for peace into a practical and just humanitarian reality, " the statement added.
