Sana'a - Saba: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Jamal Amer held a meeting on Sunday with Director of the United Nations Office for Project Services Rehana Zawar Ali. During the meeting, Amer and Ali reviewed the projects being implemented by the office through the end of the current year 2024, as well as the work plan for the upcoming year 2025. The Foreign Minister received a report detailing the activities of the United Nations Office for Project Services in sectors such as water, electricity, and the rehabilitation of hospitals, health centers, and schools, particularly in rural areas. Minister Amer emphasized that the Government of Change and Construction is committed to enhancing cooperation with international governmental and non-governmental organizations, especially in humanitarian and development efforts. He noted that the government is providing various facilities, including streamlined procedures, to ensure the effective implementation of projects that benefit citizens. In response, the UN official highlighted that one of the major challenges facing international organizations is the significant shortage of project funding from donors. She mentioned that efforts are ongoing to persuade them to increase financial support for projects in Yemen. Source: Yemen News Agency
