Gaza: A World Health Organization official announced that over 100 patients, including children with trauma injuries and chronic illnesses, are set to be evacuated from Gaza on Wednesday in a rare transfer from the Gaza Strip. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Rik Peeperkorn, WHO representative for the Occupied Palestinian Territory, stated, "These are ad hoc measures. What we have requested repeatedly is a sustained medevac (medical evacuation) outside of Gaza." He further added that approximately 12,000 people are currently awaiting transfer. The patients will be transported in a large convoy on Wednesday through the Kerem Shalom crossing with Israel.
