The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects thunderstorms of varying intensity to fall on a number of provinces during the next 24 hours. The center reported in its weather bulletin, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that thunderstorms of varying intensity are expected to fall, accompanied by strong descending winds and occasional hailstones, on parts of Taiz, Ibb, Al Dhale', Raymah, Dhamar, Sana'a, Amran, Al Mahwit, Hajjah, Sa'ada provinces, and the highlands and coasts of Tihama. The rains may also include parts of the coasts of Al Mahrah, Hadhramaut, Shabwa, Abyan, Aden provinces and the adjacent inland areas. The center called on citizens not to be in valleys and flood paths or cross land bridges, warning of thunderstorms, strong winds, hail and reduced horizontal visibility due to rainfall and fog. It also warned of rock collapses on roads , mountain slopes, mud collapse and popular buildings due to the continued rainfall. The center called on the relev ant official authorities to take the necessary measures and procedures to protect lives , property , follow up on the bulletins and reports issued by it.
