Joint Arab-Islamic Statement Condemns Israel’s Diplomacy with Somaliland

Ramallah: The foreign ministers of Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Somalia, Sudan, Libya, Bangladesh, Algeria, Turkey, Indonesia, Pakistan, Kuwait, Mauritania, and Oman have issued a strong condemnation of Israel's decision to appoint a diplomatic envoy to Somaliland, a self-declared region. The ministers denounced this move as a violation of the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the ministers released a joint statement expressing their rejection of unilateral actions that threaten the unity or sovereignty of nations. They emphasized their unwavering support for Somalia's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, affirming the legitimate Somali state institutions as the only representatives of the Somali people's will.

The ministers warned that this development could set a troubling precedent, potentially destabilizing the Horn of Africa and adversely impacting regional peace and security.
