The Iraqi judiciary issued a ten-year prison sentence against a convict who committed blackmail against the families of the martyrs of the Popular Mobilization Forces. He was arrested earlier by the General Directorate of Security and Discipline of the Popular Mobilization Forces. A statement by the Popular Mobilization Authority stated that the convict was committing fraud through promises of fake appointments from which he was making money. He was arrested by the Directorate of Investigations and Preventive Security in the General Directorate of Security and Discipline in the Popular Mobilization Authority after obtaining official approval from the competent judge. He explained that he was caught while carrying out a blackmail operation against the families of the martyrs of the Popular Mobilization Forces, along with some sums of money that he earned from blackmail, and fraud, after completing investigations, the Iraqi judiciary issued a 10-year prison sentence against him.
