Qalandia: Israeli occupation forces have continued a large-scale raid on the Qalandia refugee camp and the surrounding towns of Al-Ram and Kafr Aqab, north of occupied Jerusalem, for more than 15 hours. The operation has resulted in the detention of more than 35 Palestinians, alongside widespread searches and property damage.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Jerusalem Governorate reported that the forces began their raids early in the morning, storming homes and displacing residents. Several houses have been turned into military outposts, with heavy troop deployment and drone activity noticeable in the area.
The raids have led to several injuries, including those from live fire and beatings, and cases of tear gas inhalation, as Israeli forces fired live ammunition and gas canisters within residential neighborhoods. The offensive has also involved mass detentions, field interrogations inside homes, and road closures, effectively bringing daily life to a standstill in the affected areas.
Authorities have issued demolition notices against numerous residential and commercial structures during the ongoing military escalation. The raid continues with additional military reinforcements being deployed, as stated in the official report.
