The Intelligence Agency foiled an operation to smuggle 60,000 narcotic pills into Iraq through Anbar Governorate. It said in a statement that its detachments in Anbar Governorate received accurate information about the intention of a group of drug traffickers to bring a large shipment of narcotic pills into Iraq through Anbar Governorate, where the narcotic materials will be hidden inside kitchen goods. It added that a high-level work team of specialized officers was immediately formed, accompanied by a special force, and after obtaining judicial and legal approvals, and with a tight ambush, the vehicles and their drivers were seized.
