MADRID, Students in Spanish universities held sit-ins in solidarity with Palestine, after the wave of protests that swept the United States and a number of European countries, Spain state TV said on Tuesday. University of Barcelona students held sit-in under the slogan "Free Palestine," as this enjoys the support of the faculty and university administration, the TV said. The protestors are demanding an end to "collusion" with the Israeli occupation government and the universities of the occupying countries and an end to the genocide in Palestine. The TV stated that students in other Spanish universities in the capital, Madrid, Valencia, the Basque Country, Seville, and Zaragoza, are coordinating to start a student movement in the next few days, noting that students at the Complutense University of Madrid will start sit-in today to express their rejection of the practices of the Israeli occupation.
