Gaza - Ma'an - The government media office in Gaza confirmed that 71,338 people have been infected with viral hepatitis due to displacement in various parts of the Strip since the beginning of the war on October 7. He reported that more than 1.7 million Palestinians have been infected with infectious diseases as a result of the harsh displacement conditions since the beginning of the war. He said that 350,000 people with chronic diseases in the Gaza Strip face great risks due to the occupation's prevention of the entry of necessary medicines. In turn, the Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, said that 45 aid trucks enter the Gaza Strip daily, which is much less than what the besieged Strip needs. He stressed that a political solution must be reached to end the war that has been ongoing on the Strip for more than 9 months, otherwise "an entire generation of youth and children" in Gaza will be sacrificed.
