NABLUS: Israeli colonists today evening attacked with stones Palestinian-owned houses in the village of Madama, and set to fire a vehicle in the villages of Madama and Al-Sawiya, both located south of Nablus. The head of the Madama village council, Wajih Kat, said that a group of Israeli colonists hurled stones towards citizens' homes located in the southern area of the village. Eralier in the morning, Israeli army forces broke into the said village, during which the occupation fired live bullets, stun grenades, and volleys of tear gas bombs at civilians and their homes. Kat added that a guard from the illegal colony of Yitzhar brutally assaulted Shaher Hussein, a tractor driver, while he was working to open a dirt road in Madama, forcing him to leave. The occupation forces further opened gunfire towards Hussein's tracor, shattering its windshield. Meanwhile, the head of the Al-Sawiya village council, Mahmoud Hassan, said that colonists attacked Palestinian shepherds in the western valley area of the vil lage's lands, where they also set a vehicle on fire. The targeted vehicle is owned by a local resident identified as Muhammad Ezzat Saleh. Israeli colonists carried out around 186 attacks during January, concentrated in Hebron Governorate with 63 attacks, 38 in Nablus, and 23 in Ramallah, the latest of which was the killing of Tawfiq Ajaq from the village of Al-Mazra'a, according to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission.
