QRCS Supports Dialysis Services in Lahij

The representation office of Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) in Yemen has launched a project to complete the construction of Ibn Khaldun Hospitals dialysis center in Lahij, which the first of its kind in the governorate and would provide dialysis services and medical consultations for patients with kidney failure.

The project is aimed at enhancing the health infrastructure and improving medical care for patients in Lahij and neighboring governorates. The center will have 12 dialysis machines, with a capacity of 500 patients per month.

Governor and head of the local council in Lahij Ahmed Abdullah Turki emphasized the importance of the center as a significant contribution to the health facilities in the governorate. "Having a specialized dialysis center in the governorate will ease the burden on the residents in and around the governorate," he said, hailing the QRCS's role in supporting health projects at the governorate level in general.
