Gaza city: Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa has declared the Government’s readiness to initiate immediate interventions to address the aftermath of Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts with international partners to restore essential services and provide urgent relief before embarking on comprehensive reconstruction.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the Prime Minister’s remarks were made during a meeting at the Government Operations Room for Emergency Interventions for the southern governorates. The meeting aimed to assess the current humanitarian situation, review the emergency response plan, and evaluate the operational readiness for the forthcoming period. Attendees included several government ministers and both international and local partners.
“It has been two years since the war on Gaza began, and our people have endured extremely difficult times,” Prime Minister Mustafa stated. “We renew, as the Government of the State of Palest
ine, our full commitment to our people in Gaza and our determination to do everything in our power to support them and stand by their side. We also hope to reverse the course of destruction and begin a new phase of recovery and reconstruction.”
The Prime Minister extended sincere appreciation to international partners, local civil society, the private sector, international organizations, and UN agencies for their efforts over the past two years. He urged the international community to renew its support for the upcoming recovery phase and to prepare for the challenges that lie ahead.
Additionally, Prime Minister Mustafa expressed hope that ongoing discussions in Egypt’s Sharm El-Sheikh would lead to a ceasefire, facilitate the exchange of prisoners and hostages, ensure the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, and initiate the reunification of Palestinian institutions in Gaza and the West Bank. He highlighted the importance of joint plans for humanitarian aid, emergency response, recovery, and reconstructi

The UN Humanitarian Coordinator for the occupied Palestinian Territory reaffirmed the United Nations’ commitment to supporting the Government’s relief, recovery, and reconstruction efforts in coordination with all partners. Similarly, the ambassadors of Jordan and Egypt reiterated their countries’ support for achieving a ceasefire and advancing reconstruction efforts.
Meanwhile, ministers from the Health, Education, Planning, Public Works and Housing, and Social Development departments reviewed their ministries’ contributions over the past two years and outlined operational plans to be implemented immediately once the aggression concludes.
