Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani directed that timetables be adhered to for implementing Baghdad entrance projects and that all obstacles be resolved. His office stated in a statement, 'Today, Al-Sudani chaired a special meeting to follow up on the completion of projects to rehabilitate the entrances to the city of Baghdad, in the presence of the Minister of Construction and Housing, the Mayor of Baghdad , the Governor of Baghdad, a number of officials, and representatives of the implementing companies.' He reviewed the ongoing work and procedures in each project, listened to a summary of the progress of the work, and listened to the position of the implementing companies and the obstacles, in order to determine the reasons for any delay in the implementation schedule. Al-Sudani directed that work be withdrawn from any company with a delay in implementation, since the government had provided everything required on its part. He also directed that obstacles obstructing road paths and the implementati on sites of entrance projects be removed, as well as the resolution of checkpoints that have not yet been decided. He stressed the operation of the weighing stations, the importance of strict adherence to the laws, and not being lenient in the restrictions, and that the concerned authorities, whether in the traffic directorates or the scales administration, take all their measures to control the weights of trucks and punish and prevent violators, in addition to the importance of integration between the implemented projects and the concerned authorities in the Ministry of Housing and Reconstruction, the Baghdad Municipality, and the Baghdad Governorate, and the necessity of integrating entrance projects with the fourth ring road project surrounding the city of Baghdad.
