Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani made a phone call today, Monday, with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, during which he renewed his condolences to Lebanon, on the martyrdom of the Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and his companions. During the call, Al-Sudani and Berri discussed the latest developments in the region, and the Arab, regional and international efforts exerted to stop the brutal Zionist aggression against brotherly Lebanon, and the war of genocide being waged against Gaza. He stressed, according to a statement from his media office, Iraq's position in support of these efforts, and everything that would stop the war, and establish security and stability in the region, renewing Iraq's determination to continue supporting the Lebanese people in their steadfastness and ordeal, with all humanitarian and service means that enable them to overcome the effects of war and destruction, and enhance the cohesion of its people in the face of dangers and agg ression. He pointed out the importance of the international community playing its responsible humanitarian and legal role in preventing the continuation of aggression, in addition to the role of international institutions and major countries in preserving and protecting the blood of peoples.
