Gaza: The Palestinian Journalist Syndicate has launched a campaign titled #WomenJournalistsWartime, aimed at supporting female Palestinian journalists who face significant challenges under Israeli military occupation. This campaign is part of the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, which seeks to address and raise awareness about the violence that Palestinian women, particularly journalists, endure in conflict zones. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the campaign highlights the grim reality that over 25 female journalists have been killed, with many more injured or arrested amid the ongoing Israeli military offensive in Gaza. The syndicate has called on journalists, women's rights organizations, and human rights groups to join this campaign to show solidarity with Palestinian women and journalists facing severe hardships during these turbulent times. The initiative underscores the need for global attention and action, urging for solidarity and justice for those enduring violence and oppression. By aligning with the international 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, the campaign aims to amplify the voices of Palestinian women and journalists, advocating for their rights and protection in the face of ongoing conflict.
