Bethlehem: Israeli occupation forces detained at least 10 Palestinians from various parts of the West Bank, including former prisoners, during a series of overnight raids, according to the Palestinian Prisoners' Society and the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the occupation forces carried out field investigations against dozens of local residents in the Deheishe refugee camp in Bethlehem, most of whom were later released. The two organizations said in a joint statement that the detentions are part of Israel's ongoing campaign of widespread detentions across the West Bank. In addition to the detentions, Israeli forces subjected detainees and their families to threats, physical abuse, and destruction of property during the raids. The recent detentions bring the total number of Palestinians detained since the beginning of the ongoing Israeli aggression to over 11,700, including those arrested from both the West Bank and Jerusalem. The se numbers reflect the growing scale of Israel's mass detention policy, which has intensified dramatically since October 7, 2024.
