MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman has warned about the grave consequences of the Israeli occupation forces' plan to invade and target Gaza's southernmost city of Rafah, which hosts hundreds of thousands of displaced individuals from the northern Gaza Strip. In a statement released by the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, the Sultanate urged the international community to take concrete and tangible measures that embody the statements, declarations, and political positions it has issued. The goal is to deter Israel from its aggression and compel it to stop the war, open border crossings, and allow the entry of humanitarian aid to all parts of the Gaza Strip. Oman further called on Israel to bear full responsibility for the catastrophic effects resulting from its targeting of civilians, properties, and facilities in the Gaza Strip. The statement emphasized that the aggression against the Gaza Strip constitutes a blatant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, warning of the escal ating and serious repercussions of the continued assault.
