MOFA Spokesperson Participates in “From Proxy Roles to Direct Confrontation” Workshop

Doha: Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Majid bin Mohammed Al Ansari took part in a workshop organized by the Center for International Policies Research under the title "From Proxy Roles to Direct Confrontation". During the workshop, Dr. Al Ansari underlined addressing the basic issues that fuel regional conflicts. He highlighted, in this regard, strategies for resolving conflicts and addressing their root causes. The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also stressed the importance of controlling the escalation and enhancing understanding to consolidate long-term peace and stability in the region. Furthermore, Dr. Al Ansari highlighted the joint mediation of the State of Qatar in the Gaza Strip, aiming for a permanent and just solution through an immediate ceasefire, the release of prisoners and hostages, and ensuring the sustainable and unhindered entry of humanitarian aid into all areas of the Strip, to mitigate the repercussions of the worsening humanitarian cat astrophe.
