Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri said that "what Israel did this afternoon does not only amount to a massacre, but is a "described war crime". Berri added that "the entire world is called upon to take urgent action to curb the Israeli terrorism machine, which if it continues in this manner of chaos and criminality, it will lead the region and regional security and stability towards a widespread evil". The Lebanese Council of Ministers condemned the "Israeli aggression on Lebanon". Information Minister Ziad Makari said: "The Council of Ministers considered the criminal Israeli aggression a "violation of Lebanese sovereignty", calling on the United Nations to assume its responsibilities towards this aggression.
