The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations, Mohammed Hussein Mohammed Bahr al-Ulum, met during his visit to the Russian capital, Moscow, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Andrey Rondiko, at the headquarters of the Russian Foreign Ministry. A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Bahr al-Ulum conveyed the thanks of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, to the Russian Foreign Ministry for the special attention provided by Russian health institutions to the Iraqi Ambassador to Russia, Haider al-Athari, who is going through a severe health crisis. The two sides also discussed the depth of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, as they will soon celebrate the eightieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between them, stressing the need to hold the Iraqi-Russian Joint Committee and move forward in developing economic and trade relations.
