Israeli occupation forces detain 15 Palestinians in the West Bank over two days

RAMALLAH: Israeli occupation forces detained at least 15 Palestinians, including children and former prisoners, over the past two days across various regions of the West Bank.

The Palestinian Authority’s Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society said in a joint statement that the detentions took place in multiple governorates of the West Bank.

According to the statement, these detentions were marked by field interrogations of dozens of citizens, accompanied by assaults and threats against detainees and their families, as well as extensive damage to homes.

Since the onset of the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in October 2023, over 11,400 detentions have been reported in the West Bank, including Jerusalem.

In a related context, the Israeli occupation army has continued its detention campaigns in northern Gaza amid the persistent genocide that has lasted for more than a year. These operations have targeted women, children, and medical s
taff, alongside reports of horrific crimes and systematic torture.

The ongoing detention campaigns in the West Bank are characterized by unprecedented levels of mistreatment and torture of detainees and their families, affecting not only the young but also the sick, injured, and elderly.
