Tubas: Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday engaged in massive destruction of civilian infrastructure and property in the northern occupied West Bank city of Tubas and the nearby al-Faraa refugee camp. The forces, accompanied by armored bulldozers, tore up main streets and damaged public and private properties in the downtown area during a 10-hour aggression. They besieged the camp, converted a nearby house into a military outpost, and deployed snipers on surrounding rooftops while military drones hovered above. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, medical sources reported that two Palestinians sustained live gunshot injuries inflicted by the occupation forces. The injured, one from the refugee camp and the other from the city, were promptly taken to a hospital for treatment. During the incursion, the soldiers broke into numerous civilian homes, conducted extensive searches, and later withdrew from the city before reinvading it. Kamal Bani-Odeh, director of the Palestine Prisoner's S ociety (PPS) Office in Tubas, stated that the forces arrested four young men after ransacking their family homes. Among those detained were two former prisoners, while another was held as leverage to compel his brother to surrender to the Israeli military. Eid Barahmeh, director of the PPS Office in Jericho and the northern Jordan Valley, mentioned that Israeli troops detained a resident of the Ein el-Sultan refugee camp and another individual from Marj Na'je village at different checkpoints. Later in the day, the forces detained a young man from Deir Istya town and conducted house searches. A similar raid in Nablus city resulted in the assault and detention of a young man and a 13-year-old boy. In the early hours, multiple raids across the West Bank led to the detention of at least 15 Palestinians, bringing the total number detained on Wednesday to at least 24. Israeli occupation forces regularly raid Palestinian homes across the West Bank under the pretext of searching for "wanted" individuals, often resu lting in clashes. These operations occur without search warrants and under military law, which grants Israeli commanders full authority over the 3 million Palestinians living there. Palestinians have no input on how this authority is exercised. According to the latest figures from Addameer, there are currently 10,200 Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli prisons, including 270 children and 94 women. This includes 3,443 individuals under 'administrative detention,' which allows detention without charge or trial, based on undisclosed evidence. Over the past 50 years, more than 800,000 Palestinians have been detained by Israel, with the figure now closer to 1 million. This means approximately 40% of Palestinian men and boys have experienced imprisonment, impacting nearly every Palestinian family.
