Israeli occupation forces Friday evening besieged international solidarity activists at a building in the town of Qusra, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to an anti-colonial-settlement activist. Abdul-Athim Wadi said that the occupation forces barged their way into the town, where they besieged a building with 16 international activists inside and attempted to smash the main doors. He added that the activists made their way to the town to help local farmers harvest their olive groves as part of the Faz3a campaign, a Palestinian led initiative to answer the dire need for - and organize - on the ground international civil protection from Israeli violence. Meanwhile, the occupation forces stormed Tell, a village southwest of Nablus, simultaneously while intensively firing live ammunition and tear gas canisters, triggering confrontations. The occupation forces frequently conduct raids daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for 'wanted' Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents. These raids are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers. Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised. Source: Palestine news & Information Agency - WAFA
