Detachments of the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security arrested (2) of those wanted for prosecution on terrorism charges in Dhi Qar Governorate.
The Directorate stated in a statement: With two separate duties and through careful field follow-up of the wanted persons’ file, the detachments of the Dhi Qar Intelligence and Security Directorate were able to arrest two persons wanted by the judiciary on terrorism charges against whom two arrest warrants had been issued in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 (of Terrorism).
The statement added: The arrest came as a result of two elaborate ambushes carried out in Dhi Qar Governorate by the detachments, one of which was one of the most prominent targets of the Directorate, and all legal measures were taken against them.
