Hebron: Several Palestinians suffered from suffocation on Tuesday afternoon after Israeli occupation forces fired tear gas canisters at them near the entrance to the town of Idhna, west of Hebron.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Israeli troops stationed at the main entrance to the town, which has been closed with an iron gate for the past two years, fired live bullets, sound bombs, and tear gas towards residents, their vehicles, and university students. This action resulted in several cases of suffocation among the Palestinians present.
Israeli forces continue to close the main entrance and all dirt roads leading to the town, while carrying out daily raids, arrests, and collective punishment measures. The use of live fire and toxic gas has further restricted residents' access to healthcare, education, and other essential services.
