Gazan Women and Children Suffer Amid Ongoing Israeli Aggression, Foreign Ministry Reports.

Gaza: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has stated that women and children are disproportionately affected by the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, highlighting the plight of 155,000 pregnant or breastfeeding women in the area. Of these, 4,000 women are expected to give birth this month under dire and inhumane conditions. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Ministry released a statement on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, emphasizing that women in Gaza are deprived of essential medical and living services. This situation violates multiple international charters, agreements, and resolutions, including Security Council Resolution 1325 "Women, Security and Peace". The Ministry reported that since the aggression began, more than 11,979 women and 17,492 children have been killed, making up 70% of the casualties in the Gaza Strip. Furthermore, it highlighted the plight of 97 women who remain imprisoned by the occupation forces, enduring unknown fates and severe conditions, including forms of torture. In its statement, the Ministry urged international committees to conduct thorough investigations into the systematic violence against Palestinian women and to hold the occupying forces accountable for their ongoing crimes and violations. It also appealed to the international community to intervene and lift the siege on Gaza to ensure the continuous supply of food, water, fuel, medical, and humanitarian aid, including provisions for the specific needs of women and girls.
