Economy Minister & Cement Corporation President inaugurate first production line rehabilitation at Amran Cement Factory

The Economy, Industry and Investment, Minister Engineer Moeen Al-Mahakri, along with the Chairman of the Yemeni General Organization Board of Directors for Cement Industry and Marketing, Yahya Saleh Atifa, inaugurated the rehabilitation project of the first production line of the Amran Cement Factory with self-financing.

The project aims to increase the production capacity of the factory in accordance with the highest quality standards, as well as reduce production costs and convert it to work with coal.

The minister and the head of the organization listened to an explanation from the factory director , Engineer Ahmed Al-Murtada, and the technical team working on the stages of implementing the project , the maintenance and modernization works of the equipment in the production line.

Al-Mahakri and Atifa, along with the head of the General Authority for Investment, Yasser Al-Mansour, inspected the production process in the second production line of the factory, and listened to a detailed explanation of the

After that, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Economy, Industry and Investment Minister, which included the Corporation leadership and the factory management to discuss development and modernization plans in the factory.

In the meeting, the Economy Minister stressed the importance of preparing development and modernization plans in the factory in a scientific and thoughtful manner, especially in the fields of maintenance of existing equipment or the use of new equipment and machinery, as well as in the field of developing the production and marketing process level , and benefiting from the great confidence of the Yemeni consumer in the quality of the factory’s products, in order to ensure the continuity of work in the factories and enable them to overcome the updates under the current conditions.

He stressed the importance of everyone sensing their roles and responsibilities in light of this sensitive stage
and working in a team spirit and concerted efforts to advance the reality of the institution and its affiliated factories.

He praised the efforts of the leadership of the Cement Corporation and the developmental steps it has achieved in a short period of time, stressing that the Ministry stands by it in overcoming the challenges and solving the accumulated issues.

For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cement Corporation praised the support provided to the Corporation by the Economy, Industry and Investment Minister.

He reviewed the efforts of the Foundation in the field of developing and modernizing the Foundation, automating work and simplifying procedures.

He pointed out that the Corporation is in the process of launching a new marketing policy to keep pace with the development process witnessed by the Corporation.

He considered the launch of the project to rehabilitate the first production line in the factory , restore the wheel of production in it along with the second line as a
n addition , a qualitative leap for the factory , the advanced and modern cement industry in Yemen.
