Ramallah - Together - Mustafa Barghouti, Secretary-General of the Palestinian National Initiative Movement, welcomed the historic decision of Norway, Ireland and Spain to recognize the State of Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital and the right of the Palestinian people to freedom and self-determination. Barghouti considered the decision a direct result of the struggle, resistance and steadfastness of the Palestinian people on the land of their homeland in the face of the occupation, the ethnic cleansing conspiracy and the popular solidarity movements. Barghouti saluted the courage of the three countries, and we hope that the rest of the European countries will follow suit. He stressed that the announcement of recognition of the State of Palestine, which was accompanied by the demand to stop the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and implement a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire, represents a new painful blow to Netanyahu, the occupation government, and Israeli fascist tendencies after the decisio n of the ICC prosecutor to indict Netanyahu and Gallant for committing war crimes. He said, "The Palestinian people will continue their just struggle to achieve complete freedom, justice, return, and self-determination." Source: Maan News Agency
