RAMALLAH: The Australian Voces Caelestium orchestra in Sydney organized a musical performance, in which more than 200 musicians participated in the orchestra and choir, to raise funds for the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. The participants said in a statement that the funds raised will go towards humanitarian aid provided to the citizens of Gaza. The statement added that the concert was planned by the Korean-Australian orchestra conductor Taesoo Kim since last November, and was co-directed by the Serbian-Australian composer and pianist Pavle Kajic. Among the attendees were Korean and Palestinian activists and supporters of the Palestinian people, in addition to a wide range of activists in the city of Sydney. The concert is dedicated to raising funds for the Palestine Children's Relief Fund, and supporting its efforts to provide much-needed aid to children, amid the atrocities unfolding in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. For its part, the Palestinian community in Australia indicated that the conc ert succeeded in raising awareness of the suffering of our people, and raising funds for the Palestine Children's Relief Fund.
