Ramallah: Colonists, backed by army forces, seized two vehicles and briefly detained several Palestinian youths near Ramallah. On Friday evening, colonists attacked the village of Burqa, located east of Ramallah, and seized two vehicles while detaining a group of young Palestinian men, according to local sources.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the colonists, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, entered the village from the eastern side and detained the youths in the vicinity of a public park. After seizing the vehicles, the colonists withdrew from the village.
Incidents of violence perpetrated by colonists against Palestinians and their properties have reportedly escalated since October 7, 2023. This surge in attacks has drawn widespread international condemnation, prompting several countries to impose sanctions on colonists accused of carrying out these acts in the occupied West Bank.
