The League of Arab States has condemned in strongest terms the persistent attacks on the densely populated city of Rafah by the Israeli occupation soldiers during the past two days which resulted in traumatizing and displacing tens of thousands of Palestinians who sheltered in the open in adjacent to the shore and are ominously bereft of minimum life essentials. It considered this situation as a crime to be added to the criminal record of the Israeli occupation that rejects listening to the voice of reason even from the closest friends. In a statement on Friday, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Ahmed Aboul Gheit said the Israeli constant maneuvers to thwart a ceasefire agreement and a prisoner swap deal have been exposed to all, since the occupation state is only interested in taking full revenge against the Gazans, regardless of any humanitarian and legal consideration. The entire world is nearly speaking with one voice on the importance of halting this massacre immediately and it is irratio nal for the political future to be devoted for one person, and the domestic policy for the occupation state in countering an apparent global willingness and unanimity, Aboul Gheit stressed. He also condemned the attack on the premises of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in Jerusalem by Israeli extremists which resulted in shuttering them.
