Hebron: Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday detained former Waqf Minister Sheikh Hatem al-Bakri from the southern occupied West Bank city of Hebron, according to security sources. The incident occurred when Israeli soldiers entered the Charitable Islamic Association in the city, forcibly breaking inside and apprehending al-Bakri.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the soldiers also briefly detained and interrogated other individuals present inside the building, including WAFA reporter, Gaweid Tamimi. In a separate operation, Israeli special forces used a Palestinian-licensed vehicle to covertly enter al-Yamun town, west of Jenin, where they abducted a young man.
