Baghdad: Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, today, Saturday, congratulated the Iraqi Media Network for winning first place in the Arab Radio and Television Festival. Al-Mandalawi said in a blog post on the 'X' platform, 'We congratulate the Iraqi Media Network for obtaining first place in the Arab Radio and Television Festival in its 24th session held in Tunisia, which is a distinguished and exceptional entitlement for our pioneering media sector, which has returned to occupy its position with confidence and excellence in performance and dissemination of purposeful professional content with all utmost independence and freedom.' Al-Mandalawi affirmed the legislative authority's support for the media by legislating laws guaranteeing freedom of speech and expression and considering it an essential partner in building the democratic experience and fighting the negative phenomena that threaten our society.'
