Bethlehem Ma'an - Workers at the Jerusalem District Electricity Company branch in Bethlehem organized a stand this morning, Wednesday, in front of the company building in protest against the assault that their colleague, "collector" Mohammed Thawabteh, was subjected to yesterday, Tuesday, while working in the city. The company's employees condemned the attack, stressing in banners they raised during the sit-in that this criminal attack is outside the authentic customs and traditions of our people. They also stressed that attacking any employee in the company is a red line that must not be ignored and that the perpetrators of any attack must be pursued and held accountable. In the same context, the General Administration of the Jerusalem Electricity Company and the union of workers in the company renewed their strong condemnation of the brutal assault on the company employee, stressing that they are following up on this serious incident with all relevant official bodies in order to provide protection for all employees in the company and deter those who break the law.
