Yarmouk University (YU) President, Islam Massad, met with Jordan Ambassador to Egypt, Amjad Adaileh, during his recent visit to Cairo. During the meeting, which was attended by the Cultural Attaché at the Jordanian Embassy in Cairo, Abdullah Harahsheh, Massad highlighted the university's offerings in various scientific, health, and humanitarian fields and its keenness to expand its cooperation base with various Arab, regional, and international educational institutions, which reflects positively on the development of the educational and research process at the university, according to a university statement. He pointed out that as part of its modernization and development plan, YU has introduced a number of majors for the bachelor's and master's levels that keep pace with modern technological changes and meet the needs of the local, Arab, and international labor market, and has amended and developed study plans for its various programs with the aim of providing scientifically and skillfully qualified compet encies. The meeting discussed ways to enhance academic, scientific and cultural cooperation between the YU and various Egyptian universities through the Jordanian cultural attaché. For his part, Adaileh lauded YU distinguished scientific reputation, pointing out the importance of the modernization and development steps taken by YU and its role in raising its ranking at Arab and international levels. Adaileh affirmed the embassy's readiness to consolidate academic and research cooperation between Yarmouk University and various Egyptian higher education institutions, enabling it to market its various academic programs and attract more Arab and foreign students to study there.
