Yemen Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control Organization has begun implementing a periodic inspection and evaluation program for industrial facilities. During the field visit to a number of industrial facilities in Sana'a and Sana'a Governorate, the Executive Director of the Authority, Sam Ahmed Al-Bashiri, confirmed that the descent aims to ensure the fulfillment and implementation of the requirements and observations raised by the field teams during previous visits to those facilities. He pointed out that during the landing of the field teams, technical support will be provided to food and non-food industrial establishments, which contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of local products in order to support the national economy and reach self-sufficiency. He pointed out that the authority is working to raise the level of local industries, improve the quality of products, ensure their safety and ensure their compliance with the approved standard specifications.
