The Public Health and Population Office in capital Sana'a, in cooperation with the security services, seized quantities of counterfeit, smuggled and expired medicines and supplies in a number of drug stores. During the disembarkation and seizure, Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Mutahar Al-Marwani explained that the inspection and control teams at the Health Office in the municipality seized the seized quantities. He praised the cooperation of the security services in the municipality and the community with the Health Office in seizing these drugs. He pointed out that the legal procedures are being completed to refer violators to the competent authorities. He stressed the need to take strict measures against violators and manipulators of the health and safety of citizens. Dr. Al-Marwani stressed the continuation of monitoring work on pharmaceutical facilities and drug stores, arresting violators, confiscating and destroying expired and counterfeit medicines and medical supplies, in order to ensure the preserv ation of the safety and lives of citizens.
