The General Authority for Agricultural Research and Extension, represented by the Northern Highlands Agricultural Research Station, organized today, Tuesday, a technical workshop in Sana'a to discuss technical reports for the year 2023 AD , research programs and activities for the year 2024 AD. The goal of the workshop, with the participation of 40 cadres from the Authority, the Agricultural Research Station, and agricultural engineers, is to review a number of research reports and discuss research problems and the station's outputs, in a way that serves to improve the productivity of the agricultural sector in the country and enhance its role in food security. For his part, Director of the Northern Highlands Agricultural Research Station, Engineer Ahmed Al-Jalal, pointed out the role of the workshop in discussing the technical reports , outputs of the research station , its contribution to accessing research techniques and developing improved varieties of different agricultural crops. In a statement to th e Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Vice President of the General Authority for Agricultural Research and Extension, Dr. Abed Al-Bail, confirmed that the workshop is held annually to determine the outputs of the research station, whose role lies in serving agriculture in seven priority provinces with large agricultural areas. He pointed out that the Northern Highlands Research Station represents the basic nucleus from which various research techniques are launched in order to address most of the agricultural problems facing farmers.
