RAMALLAH: Weather on Monday is expected to be hot with no change in temperature, which remains a bit warmer than the annual average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD). Winds are light to moderate, westerly to northwesterly, and occasionally picking up in speed. Sea conditions will see waves of light to moderate height. As evening approaches, temperatures will become mild in mountainous regions and relatively warm elsewhere. Weather on Tuesday is expected to very hot with a rise in temperature, approaching three-four degrees warmer than the annual average as the country gets affected by a heatwave. Wednesday's temperature remains the same as the weather continues to be very hot. Very hot conditions continue to prevail on Thursday. PMD warned citizens against exposure to direct sunlight for a long period, especially during peak hours, and of the danger of setting fires in areas where grasses and dry trees abound.
