The President of the University of Jordan, Natheer Obeidat, said that the university looks forward to further improvement in scientific research because it is the future of people, and "we hope that scientific research in Jordan will evolve in a way that will help economic growth in the future." During the Government Communication Forum on Tuesday, held to discuss the university's vision and future plan, in the presence of the Minister of Government Communications and the Government Spokesperson, Muhannad Mubaidin, Obeidat said that the number of research papers published by researchers at the University of Jordan is about 2400, 70% of which are in prestigious international journals (q1 and q2), stressing that the spread of research was achieved through the efforts of researchers and professors at the University of Jordan. He added that the University of Jordan today is ranked 368th in the QS ranking at the level of international universities, which is "a cumulative work contributed by everyone who passed t hrough the University of Jordan, including professors, students, and graduates." He pointed out that the University of Jordan's ranking of academic reputation is 268 in the world, in employment 250, and in employer satisfaction with graduates and the impact of university graduates 110 on the world, pointing out that this indicates that it occupies an important position in terms of its impact on the world and the impact of its graduates on the world. He noted that there are about 500 halls, amphitheaters, and laboratories at the University of Jordan that had to be modernized, and within the maintenance project, 180 halls and amphitheaters were modernized.
