UPDATE: Israeli strikes targeting different areas in Gaza result in civilian casualties


GAZA: Twenty civilians were killed and others were injured on Friday in Israeli airstrikes targeting different areas in Gaza City, raising the number of civilians killed in the Strip since dawn today to 81, including 42 who were killed in the northern Strip, according to medical sources.

Local sources reported that 11 civilians were killed and several others were injured in the occupation’s shelling of a group of civilians to the north of the al-Shati (Beach) refugee camp, northwest of Gaza City.

Two civilians were also killed and others were injured in a strike by Israeli warplanes targeting a site near the Gaza Industrial Estate in Gaza City.

Two civilians were killed and one was wounded in an Israeli airstrike targeting the fishing port west of Gaza City.

Five civilians were also killed and others were injured in an Israeli air raid targeting a bus in the vicinity of the Al-Khaldi Mosque northwest of Gaza City.

The occupation forces broke into the UNRWA-run at the Fakhoura Health Centre west of Jabali
a camp and forced the displaced people taking shelter there to evacuate.

Israeli tanks and artillery intensively shelled the Safatawi area north of Gaza City.

According to local sources, the medical staff are still inside the besieged Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza. Earlier, the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, announced that communication has been lost with the staff at Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza following an incursion by Israeli forces.

This morning, at least 20 civilians were killed and dozens of others were injured after occupation fighter jets bombed two homes in the town of Beit Lahiya in the besieged northern Strip.

Israeli warplanes also shelled a house west of the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, however, no injuries were reported.

In the south of the Strip, civilians recovered the body of a civilian killed in the occupation’s shelling of a house north of the city of Rafah.

The occupation’s ongoing aggression
on the Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air since October 7, 2023, has so far resulted in the killing of 42,874 civilians, and the injury of 100,544 others, mostly children and women.

Thousands of victims remain missing; either buried under the rubble or scattered on the roads
